How to Create a New Email Account in cPanel

When you sign up for web hosting, one of the features that might be included with your hosting account is Email accounts. Hosting providers normally provide email hosting as part of the web hosting plan. But the question then is on how to create these. Of course they are not pre-created. You have to create them yourself.

In this article, I will show you how to create a new email account in cPanel. Let us get started.

  1. Login to your cPanel using the credentials that you received when you signed up.
  2. Scroll down to the Emails Section and click Email Accounts.
  3. On the resulting page, you will see a table or list of existing email accounts. If you have not created any email accounts yet, this list will contain your default email account denoted by your username. Click the Create button in the top-right-hand corner of this table or list.
  4. Enter the username part of your email address. If you are hosting multiple domain names within this single hosting account, you will need to select the right domain name as well.
  5. Enter and confirm the password for your email account. You can also use the password generator just next to the password fields to help you generate a strong password.
  6. Choose a disk quota for your email account. This is the maximum amount of storage space allowed for the email account.
  7. Check whether you want to stay on the page to create more accounts.
  8. Click  Create.

Your email account will be created. At this point, you can now log in and access your email account
