Email Forwarding allows you to automatically send copies of email messages you receive on your email address to another email address.
When you enable email forwarding for an email account, you will need to provide another email address to which you want copies of email messages to be forwarded.
Email forwarding is very helpful. It's especially handy if you use multiple email addresses. It helps you to read emails from a single inbox. You don't need to check all your inboxes to read emails. You can always forward all the other emails to a single (preferred) email address.
Take an example where you have to read mails for your.name@brand1.com, yourname@brand2.com, info@companyx.com etc plus your old school email, say your.name@gmail.com. This can be quite tedious and time consuming.
But there's a solution to that. And that's email forwarding. You can enable email forwarding on each of the email accounts (except one) and forward all mails to say your old school email address. That way, you will only need to check your.name@gmail.com's inbox to read emails. Isn't that cool?
Although similar, email forwarding should not be confused with domain forwarding. We have covered domain forwarding in a separate article here. Please check it out.
Email forwarding and domain forwarding form part of the add-on services available to all domain names registered at HostZion. We offer both add-ons free of charge.
